New Edge Concrete poured the foundation and patio for this 550-square-foot ADU in Alamo in 2023, working with general contractor Burton Builders. We formed and cast a raised slab foundation — with a recessed drop for the ADU’s curbless shower — over a compacted gravel base and a full rebar mat, then poured the surrounding concrete patio that ties the ADU into the backyard. Burton framed and finished the modern ADU on top, opening it to the yard through folding glass doors.
